The CADS Ski level 1 3-4 Track module certification is for candidates wishing to focus on teaching students with balance and mobility challenges. Candidates will learn tools and skills to best support students who require outriggers to ski at a beginner level.

The CADS Ski level 1 Sitski module certification is for candidates wishing to focus on teaching students who are best suited to using a sitski. Candidates will learn tools and skills to support students to use a sitski at a beginner level.

The CADS Snowboard to Ski Crossover level 1 certification is for certified level 1 snowboard instructors who wish to become certified ski instructors in a condensed certification process which recognises their previous skills and knowledge.

The CADS Ski Level 2 complete certification is for instructors interested in improving their knowledge and skills to teach students across all four disciplines – ASD/CI, VI, Sitski and 3-4 Track. Candidates will learn how to teach students of all abilities to move beyond a beginner level.

Prerequisites: CADS membership and CADS SB level 2 certification.

The CADS Ski Level 3 certification is for candidates interested in learning how to teach students across three disciplines –VI, Sitski and 3-4 Track. Candidates must demonstrate an intermediate level of skiing ability and how to teach a lesson to a variety of students at an intermediate level. The candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge of The Technical Reference, The Gliding Experience and The Learning Contract within their lesson.

Prerequisites: Current CADS membership and CADS Ski level 2 complete certification.

The CADS Ski level 1 Course conductor certification is an entry-level requirement for training and evaluating candidates for their Ski level 1 certifications. It is for Ski level 3 instructors who are ready to expand their skill sets and learn how to train and evaluate candidates using various pedagogical principles including experiential learning. There are two course conductor levels.

Prerequisites: Current CADS membership and Ski level 3 instructor certification

The CADS Ski level 2 course conductor certification is the final level for training and evaluating candidates for CADS Ski level 1 and Ski level 2 certifications.

For: Ski level 1 Course conductors

Prerequisites: Current CADS membership and Ski level 1 CC

The CADS Ski level 4 certification involves a rigorous program of evaluation. The role of a level 4 is to train and evaluate instructors at most levels including CADS level 3 and Course conductors and to work closely with the CADS TC to advise on technical matters.

For: Confident and experienced Ski level 2 Course Conductors who are interested in taking their certification to the next level.

Prerequisites: Current CADS membership and CADS Ski level 2 course conductor certification, plus acceptance of their application into the level 4 process.

A Ski level 4 evaluator is the highest level of certification and involves a rigorous and lengthy process of evaluation. The role of a level 4 evaluator is to train and evaluate instructors at all levels including mentoring and evaluating the Level 4 process. It is also expected Level 4 evaluators will work closely with the CADS TC to advise on technical matters.

For: Confident and experienced Ski level 4s who are interested in evaluating new level 4 candidates and taking their certification to the highest level

Prerequisites: Current CADS membership and CADS Ski level 4 certification, plus acceptance into the level 4 evaluator process.
