CADS Pre-Course Registration

  • CADS

We are implementing a pilot program for the CADS pre-course structure this season. This update responds directly to feedback from clubs, divisions, and Course Conductors to ensure our programs remain effective and sustainable.

Previously, CADS required four-day, early-season events to evaluate new candidates and mandated that returning Course Conductors recertify on snow every two years. To improve operational efficiency, manage organizational costs, and respect participants' time, we have modernized this approach.

Please review the revised pre-course structure for the upcoming season below.

Here is how the new pre-course structure will work this season:

New Course Conductor Evaluations (On-Snow)
Registration is now open: https://cadsnational.snowlinepro.com/
These on-snow sessions (3 Days) are specifically designed for:

· Level 3 instructors seeking evaluation for Level 1 Course Conductor

· Level 1 Course Conductors seeking evaluation for Level 2 Course Conductor

Locations and Dates:

· Nova Scotia: Date January 8- 10, 2027

· Sun Peaks, BC: December 10–13, 2026

· Calabogie Peaks, ON: December 17–20, 2026

Registration Opens October 1st for new course conductors
**Existing Course Conductors (Online - PD Points)
This season, existing Course Conductors do not need to attend the standard bi-annual on-snow sessions while we evaluate future on-snow requirements.

If you wish to continue developing your on-snow skills, you have the opportunity to shadow the new evaluation sessions, though space is limited.

Registration is now open: https://cadsnational.snowlinepro.com/

To be completed by February 1st, 2027 to stay active
